Hokkaido Travel: Furano - Ningle Terrace

Ningle Terrace is made to resemble a Ningle community. Ningle are "dwarfs" in the Ainu language. Basically, they are log cabins which turns into cafes, workshops and retail shops which sell handicrafts. The above cute sign can be found all over Hokkaido, warning us to always look out for lurking bears.

Hokkaido Travel: Biei - Potato Village - Our accommodation in Biei
Our accommodation in Biei (美瑛) is a cottage in Potato Village. It is two storey high with the bedroom at the second floor. It looks like a bungalow (only not so upscale) with a balcony as well as dining and kitchen area, the size is just nice for four of us. Our cottage is unlike the hostels, which are in the main building. Over at the main building, you can participate in all kinds of activities and have dinner with like-minded tourists from all over the world.
